Mark Hughes is not bothering to respond to Steffen Effenberg's remarks about Xherdan Shaqiri's move to Stoke City.
While many have been impressed by the fact that Stoke were able to secure the services of Shaqiri from Inter Milan for a club record £12million, some are baffled by why the winger chose to join the Potters, namely Bayern Munich legend Effenberg.
Effenberg slammed Shaqiri for joining Stoke for purely monetary pursuits and insisted that Schalke would have been a better option for him.
Despite Effenberg's harsh comments, Hughes is not bothered and has stated that he is only concentrating on his job.
The Stoke boss said: "I don't want to comment on this.
"He hasn't got a job at the moment, so he can talk. He's a free man. I concentrate on my job. It's not my job to comment on what people say."
