Stoke City boss Mark Hughes doesn't expect to sell Glenn Whelan before tomorrow's transfer deadline.

Reports that Stoke would sell Whelan to Norwich once Sunderland midfielder Lee Cattermole was signed have been dismissed by Hughes.

"I've had no contact with Norwich," he said. "It's not our intention to let Glenn go. We don't anticipate anybody leaving."
