Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has slammed Benfica striker Nicolas Oliveira.

Potters boss Sparky lost out to French Ligue 1 side Rennes for the 21-year-old Portuguese.

Hughes said: "We thought it would be a footballing decision, it seems to have been more about the money involved. That happens, I'm afraid, and you have to take it on the chin and move on."
