Stoke City boss Mark Hughes is a big fan of Crystal Palace signing Emmanuel Adebayor.
Hughes worked with Adebayor at Manchester City.
"I've always said that, when he's on top of his form he can be unplayable," said Hughes. "He's a big guy, with a lot of power who scores goals, that's not a bad combination for a striker. I think they've made a good acquisition there.
"I can only go by my experience of Ade, and I didn't see that so-called bad character in him, he may have that reputation because of things he's done in the past - but I never saw that myself, he always came in and had a big smile on his face.
"There were misdemeanours yes. But I backed him, at the time he was producing. And for the most part he would always impact games for your in a positive fashion."
