Steven N'Zonzi has rejected Stoke City's new contract offer.

The Mirror says N'Zonzi's dad and representative Fidele delivered the bombshell to Stoke officials when they sat down with him to discuss the club's proposed new terms.

N'Zonzi, 26, has just one year left on his current deal and the Potters are keen to tie him to a longer contract.

However his father told Stoke officials he wants to go to boost his chances of being called up by France.
