Chelsea attacker Raheem Sterling was delighted after their 4-1 win at Burnley.
Sterling scored one and was involved in the other three today.
He later said: "I wouldn't say I had something to prove. We started well and conceded but then we kept playing and kept building. We took our chances and it was a good performance in the end.
"We were disappointed to go behind but it just shows that we are not giving up and we are building a foundation and making these steps week in, week out.
"I took the strike and I'm happy to score.
"We're just building, that's all we can do. Just keep building and keep working on the training field to replicate that in matches.
"The fans are travelling here even though we are not at the peak of what we should be doing. They see what the manager and players are trying to do and making those steps. We just want to connect with our fans, keep winning for them and make them smile."
