Stefan Savic is delighted to have signed a new contract with Atletico Madrid.

The defender has penned terms to 2024 with Atletico today.

Savic said, "I am delighted to be able to continue playing here, in this red-and-white family and I am very happy to renew my contract until 2024.

"Since 2015 when I arrived the club has grown a lot, that has been noticed on and off the field. Today we have a team to compete with all the great clubs in the world, I love the project, and how the club and the team are growing.

"After playing in England and Italy, I wanted to play in the best league in the world, which is LaLiga, and I am very happy to have been here for six years and I hope to fulfill the contract until the end and continue playing LaLiga, which has a high level."
