Former Liverpool and Aston Villa striker Stan Collymore has announced he's leaving talkSPORT.

The 45-year-old from Cannock admitted that his contract is not going to be renewed and he'll be looking for other opportunities within the media.

He worked as a match summariser for the station and also had his own phone-in show, 'Call Collymore,' where he spoke to football fans.

The outspoken ex-forward said in a statement: "They have decided to withdraw their contract offer, made in May of this year. I'll comment further when it's appropriate.

"If anyone wants a highly motivated, audience growing, award winning and passionate broadcaster dedicated to engaging with football fans around the country, give me a call!"
