St Etienne are resisting pressure from Leicester City to open talks over the sale of Wesley Fofana.
Fofana, 19, has openly declared he wants ASSE to accept Leicester's offer and allow him to leave this summer.
But Le 10 Sport says ASSE's board is refusing to budge, convinced they can make more from the defender's sale in January.
And despite Fofana's demands, there is a confidence the youngster will not down tools nor create problems for coach Claude Puel.
As such, for the moment, St Etienne are prepared to keep hold of Fofana until the New Year - at the very least.
