Former Newcastle United goalkeeper Pavel Srnicek can see Tim Krul assessing his options.

Srnicek wrote in the Evening Chronicle: "If Tim Krul is looking at his options it wouldn't be the biggest surprise in the world to me.

"Tim's capable, ambitious and desperate to play with the best players in the world - and if Newcastle can't provide that for him, he's going to look elsewhere.

"He's been happy at Newcastle and they've been good to him, but at some point if you're good enough, the ambition to try and win things and play with the best is going to get the best of you."
