Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel is well aware of Stoke City winger Jermaine Pennant.

Pennant is a former Liverpool player and faces his old club today.

Skrtel told liverpoolfc.tv: "We had one season together before he left for Zaragoza. He's quite a good player. He's quite quick and we have to be careful because for him it'll be a special game as he's playing against his old team. He'll want to show some quality."
