Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko is convinced manager Harry Redknapp has been taking the mick out of him this season.
In an interview with the Russian press, Pavlyuchenko admits he's desperate to quit Spurs in January.
Asked to share a humorous story from the last 12 months, Pavlyuchenko replied: "Here is the latest anecdote from London: Harry Redknapp put Roman Pavlyuchenko in the starting line-up. Alas, this would be funny if it weren't so sad.
"Before the Carling Cup game against Manchester United, Redknapp called me over and said, 'tomorrow you'll have a chance to distinguish yourself in front of 75,000 spectators, you should take it'. Take it? I spent the whole 90 minutes on the bench."
Pavlyuchenko is now preparing for his second new year in England and recalls how he stunned his neighbours 12 months ago by celebrating on Moscow time.
"New Year is a home fest and I always celebrate it with my family and close friends. But last year, when we were in London, we started to celebrate at 9pm, when in Moscow was already midnight. We tumbled on to the street, letting off fireworks, and all our neighbours thought we were just crazy Russians."
