Tottenham striker Harry Kane has insisted that his goal is to improve standards at the club.

The centre-forward, who is out of contract in a year, is being linked with a move away from the North London outfit.

While Kane has not expressly committed to Spurs, he is not talking about an exit being a foregone conclusion either.

“It's been a difficult season," Kane told Sky Sports.

“Probably the last couple of years, the last two or three, we haven't been where we want to be as a club, so ultimately, there's some internal stuff we need to talk about.

“We need to discuss some of the standards around the team and the training ground, which we need to get back to.

“We had [standards] those in place when Mauricio Pochettino was here, so internally we need to do that."
