Tottenham are getting closer to signing James Maddison from Leicester City this summer.

The North London club are very eager to bring creativity to their midfield for new boss Ange Postecoglou.

Per Fabrizio Romano, the two clubs are close to a deal after Spurs agreed personal terms with Maddison.

Also wanted by Newcastle United, Maddison is happy to play at Spurs despite no European football next season.

Sky Sports also states the talks are at an advanced stage, but a final agreement is not present.

The Telegraph reported Spurs's latest offer as being £40 million plus potential add-ons.
