Tottenham legend Chris Waddle says only video technology will get rid of diving.
Waddle said: "I feel very sorry for Eduardo at Arsenal because he has inadvertently become a scapegoat.
"The truth is most players will hit the deck in the penalty area if a challenge comes in because they are under direct instructions from their managers to do so.
"The only way you are going to eradicate this from the game is to introduce new technology where by they can instantly replay the incident on a TV monitor and make a decision accordingly.
"And if there is any doubt it shouldn't be a penalty."
