Tottenham legend Ledley King is delighted to see so many youngsters in the England U21 squad.

Tom Carroll, Danny Rose, Adam Smith and Andros Townsend are in the squad for friendlies against Romania at Wycombe on Thursday night and Austria at Brighton on Monday.

"To have the five players initially selected shows the great work the club is doing and the coaches in bringing the lads through," King told the Spurs website. "Steven Caulker then joined the senior squad and that will be a fantastic experience for him in two World Cup qualifiers.

"These are five very talented lads all looking to make a path for the future."
