Tottenham legend Ossie Ardiles says England can win the World Cup.

Ardiles told TalkSport: "England's chances are very, very big. Every time that England goes to play the World Cup they have been labelled in the press as 'England will be the World Cup champions' and so on but it's not really the truth to be honest.

"But this time under Capello, it's a different proposition. They look very robust, very well organised, very professional and so on. After saying that, it will depend very much on Wayne Rooney stays fit. This is the crucial position that England have. I would say one top, top striker in Rooney. If Rooney gets injured it's going to be very difficult for England to win the World Cup.

"The big favourites are Brazil and Spain, after that there is a bunch of teams, England included with Holland, Italy, France that will be there."
