Spurs join Real Madrid Quintero interest amid River Plate warning

River Plate president Rodolfo D'Onofrio is adamant they won't lose Juan Quintero after the World Cup.

The Colombia midfielder is on-loan at River from Porto and attracting interest from Real Madrid and Tottenham. Spurs have made contact with Quintero's parent club in the last 24 hours.

However, D'Onofrio insists River have control of Quintero's future.

He declared: "River fans stay calm, that's not true about Real Madrid. Nothing has come to River. Everything is already set. It is already stipulated how the amount we have to pay (to Porto) will be paid, so there is no financial problem because we can give the ok now and in a few months we will have to pay."
