Tottenham reserves coach Clive Allen singled out Adel Taarabt for special praise after this week's victory over Aston Villa.

Allen told the club's website: "Adel was in good form in the final third and was always a threat, and we created chances.

"He's so bright and clever and he opened them up with an exquisite pass for the first goal and Simon had the composure to finish it."
