Tottenham sporting director Fabio Paritici is hoping to give manager Antonio Conte his first January signing in the coming weeks.
Atalanta star Ruslan Malinovskyi is a long term target for the North London club.
Corriere di Bergamo reported this weekend that Spurs will offer Atalanta €15 million for Malinovskyi.
There is also the possibility that Spurs add a loan with an obligation to buy in the contract to sweeten the deal for Atalanta.
Paritici has been successful with such arrangements in signing Christian Romero and Dejan Kulusevski in recent years.
Malinovskyi is a midfielder who is two-footed and has an outstanding dead ball delivery.
