Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy admits he alone made the decision to sack Juande Ramos on the weekend.
Asked how much consultation there had been with the other directors over the decision to fire Ramos, Levy said: "None whatsoever. They didn't even know about it.
"I had been thinking about it for 10 days. Players were being sent off all the time, heads were going down, we weren't scoring and we were losing, there were issues between the manager and players. It reached a point where I had to do something drastic.
"If we had waited another two months, Ramos may have been able to turn it around. But I couldn't afford to take that risk."
