Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy apologised to Olympique Marseille chiefs yesterday after a deal for Erik Lamela collapsed.
La Provence says Lamela left OM hanging as they focused their energies on signing the Argie ahead of a priority striker signing.
Lamela pulled out of the move last night - leaving Levy embarrassed.
It's suggested Levy apologised to Marseille directors when it became clear the deal was off.
The key to the on-off deal was manager Mauricio Pochettino, who blocked the move in the final hours of yesterday evening.
