Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood was delighted with the combination of Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado for victory over Cardiff City.
Soldado struck the only goal of the game on Sunday.
"It was a good finish, he had a lot to do. Ade laid it into his path but he still had to take it on the run," said Sherwood.
"It was tight control and just to roll it past the goalie, instinctively, he didn't have a lot of time to think about it, which is probably great.
"I hope they can grow that partnership, it would be great for us if they did.
"We're looking forward to them building a bit of confidence now from that."
