Tottenham boss Martin Jol plans to trump Newcastle United for Barcelona winger Ludovic Giuly.
The Mirror says Giuly, 30, will be allowed to leave Barcelona for a cut-price £1.5million, which has alerted Newcastle.
But Jol is anxious to strengthen his Spurs squad in wide areas for next season after losing out on Nani to Manchester United and will make a move for Giuly.
