Tottenham are attempting to drive down the price for Dejan Kulusevski's permanent signing in talks with Juventus.
Tottenham paid €10m for the loan. There is a purchase option of €35m.
Now La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Tottenham wants to keep Kulusevski, but not for the set price.
Juventus director Giovanni Manna met representatives from Tottenham at the weekend to discuss the situation.
Tottenham insist they do not want to pay more than €20m to buy the Swede.
Juventus now need to make a decision on whether to accept the lower offer or take the 23-year-old back. The problem is that Kulusevski is not part of coach Massimiliano Allegri's plans.
