Sporting Gijon fullback Robert Canella is interesting Blackburn Rovers.
The News of the World says Canella, 22, is one of the most highly-rated young players in La Liga and Blackburn scout Martin Glover watched him play in Sporting's 2-0 home defeat by Valladolid last Sunday.
The Spain Under-21 international's contract runs until June 2013 and his official buy-out price is about £10m but relegation-threatened Sporting have money problems and would probably settle for less.
