Sporting CP defender Mauricio has revealed a summer approach from Manchester United. The Brazilian, speaking with UOL Sport, admitted his agent was sounded out by United about the prospect of following Marcos Rojo to Old Trafford.
"Yes, they approached my manager, Carlos Goncalves," said Mauricio.
"But I am a centred person, focused and very quiet. It was not the right thing, because they were offering more or less what I experiencing with Sporting.
"Here the people are very fond of me and I'm very happy."
