Jay Spearing admits Liverpool's Euro hopes will be shaped by tonight's clash with Manchester City.
While the midfielder acknowledges high-flying City will provide Kenny Dalglish's men with one of their toughest tests of the season so far, he's confident Liverpool can secure a morale-boosting victory.
"I think it's one of the biggest games we've had so far this season," he told LFC TV.
"After last week at West Brom, we were all massively disappointed with the performance we gave and having to wait a week to get back out there and prove to people we can fight at that level is a down for us.
"We've got a lot to play for in these seven games. I don't see why we can't finish fifth, if results go our way, we concentrate on our own games and take each one as it comes.
"We can start by getting a decent result on Monday."
