Former Celtic winger Aiden McGeady believes the club can really slice open the wounds of Old Firm rivals Rangers this season.
Reigning Scottish champions 'Gers have fallen into administration and are now way off the race for the title after copping a 10-point deduction because of their financial worries.
McGeady, who joined Spartak Moscow from Celtic in 2010, says he does not hold much compassion for Rangers whilst stating that this season could be a clean sweep for the Hoops.
"But if it was happening to Celtic then of course, I'd be absolutely gutted. I have a lot of my friends who are Rangers fans as well.
"Celtic have been flying, unbeaten in 19 or 20 games now.
"With Rangers falling apart, if you're a Celtic fan, it's looking quite good.
"It looks like we're going to win the league, we're still in the Scottish Cup and also the League Cup.""I am Celtic supporter so I can't say I feel much sympathy," he said.
But McGeady also believes that Rangers will come through the other side in a positive light once the initial fears wash away.
"Obviously everyone is very, very anxious just now waiting for the outcome of what's going to happen.
"But I can't see anything worse happening than what's happening just now.
"Ten points off - that's administration - but I can't see the club going under.""It's absolutely torture if that's happening to your team. But Rangers is too big a club to go under," he added.
