Spain U21 coach Santi Denia says they'll keep selecting Gabri Veiga.
The former Celta Vigo starlet is now playing for Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League.
Denia said: "Let's see the competitive level that Arabia has. Many players who can raise the level have left for there.
"We will have to follow him, but now he himself is an important player for the U-21s."
Denia was also asked about Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic.
He stated: "When he played in the youth teams, he played centre back. I think he can give us alternatives in that position. He can be like Guillamón in the previous generation, that he can occupy various positions. I have spoken with him and he agrees with that role.
"I wanted him to be here so he could meet the group. He has a work plan that we knew about previously and that we are going to give continuity to. He is signed up for Liverpool and although he hasn't played, we're looking forward to getting minutes, even though playing there is very tough."
