England coach Gareth Southgate has told Luke Shaw he must be a Manchester United regular if he wants a Three Lions recall.

Tottenham's Danny Rose and Southampton's Ryan Bertrand have now overtaken the 21-year-old in the pecking order.

Southgate said: “We've got some pretty good left-backs, so it's great to have that competition.

“Shaw must force his way back for United.

“He's willing to take on the challenge, which is good.

"They have got plenty of matches coming up for him to stake a claim."
