Gareth Southgate claims he is not taking reports of being in the frame for the Portsmouth vacancy too seriously. Numerous names have been offered as potential candidates, with former Middlesbrough boss Southgate among them.
Southgate is, however, prepared to wait for the right offer to come along and has hinted that financially-crippled Portsmouth would not be of interest to him.
"I have been told that my name was mentioned in the papers regarding the Portsmouth job, but I am not taking it too seriously," he said in the Daily Star.
"Obviously I will look at any job offer on its individual merits, but we will have to wait and see."
