England U21 coach Gareth Southgate feels West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino has improved under Tony Pulis.

Berahino is with the England Under 21's who head to the European Finals in the Czech Republic.

Southgate said: “Working with Tony would have added other bits to his game, in terms of tactical understanding.

“That helps from our point of view, because there are demands we ask of our players when they haven't got the ball. Tony will work on that a lot in a certain way.

“Saido responded to that and Tony was delighted with him, towards the end of the season in particularly."
