Southampton winger Nathan Redmond says that he is close to a return.

The winger suffered a muscle problem in February, which threatened to keep him out for the rest of the season.

But the delay in matches due to the coronavirus means that Redmond could be back for the Saints' run in.

The club begins small group training on Tuesday if they receive the green light from relevant authorities.

Redmond put up a picture on Twitter along with the caption: "My fake smile after running up St Catherine's Hill #NotFunAtAll."

It would appear that Redmond is fit enough to join group training.

Now it is a matter of getting him up to full match sharpness.
