Southampton midfielder Eljero Elia is unsure of his future with parent club Werder Bremen.

Elia joined Saints on a six-month loan in January with the option to sign permanently this month.

However, Kicker says its unlikely Saints boss Ronald Koeman will push through an outright transfer.

Werder chief Thomas Eichin said of the 28 year-old: "We are working on a transfer with another club,"

Elia managed just one appearance in the final six games with Southampton last season.
