Southampton could continue their busy off-season by bringing in Scott Sinclair from Manchester City.
The Saints are prepared to offer City £5million for the 24-year old winger who has hardly featured at the Etihad Stadium since his move from Swansea City last summer.
West Bromwich Albion have also been showing significant interest in Sinclair but Southampton are hoping to hijack their move for the ex-Chelsea youngster and add him to their big-money additions of Victor Wanyama, Pablo Osvaldo and Dejan Lovren.
