Southampton's previously injured midfielder Romeo Lavia described his fitness return as "incredible".

The 18-year-old had last played against Chelsea at the end of August for the club.

But he made his long awaited return to action for the club's Under-21 side in an 8-1 win over Middlesbrough.

Post-game, he posted on social media: “Incredible feeling! Great preparation for what's ahead soon."

Lavia will be hoping that he can get back into the first-team picture at the club.

He may be in line to make the squad as the Saints take on Newcastle United at home on Sunday.
