Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg has enjoyed his week in China.
Saints are currently in the Far-East for a two-week trip, as they begin preparations for the new Premier League season.
"It's always first of all very nice to be somewhere where you are welcomed warmly and well taken care of," said Højbjerg, while in Shanghai.
"Of course, with the jet lag, the heat and the humidity it is not always easy, but I think the whole organisation of the trip and how the boys have trained, and the game [against Schalke], has been very good.
"It's been very concentrated and very dedicated, and this is what you want to see in pre-season, is players who give everything and try to push the limits, because this is what we have to do."
