Southampton look to treble wages of Celtic’s Hooper

Southampton are desperate to land Celtic striker Gary Hooper by tabling a final offer of £6million according to reports.

The Saints also want to treble Hooper’s £12,000-a-week wages so they can have his goalscoring abilities at their disposal ahead of a promotion charge.

Southampton have had two offers already knocked back by the Hoops with the 23-year old striker stating he is keen to remain at Parkhead but his resolve will now be tested with a potential £36,000 weekly salary hanging over his head.

Don't be ridiculous. Southampton will never pay an unproven striker that's never played top flight English football, 36 grand a week. Not a chance !!!!
