Southampton have been touted to make a move for AZ Alkmaar left-back Ridgeciano Haps, according to reports from the Southampton Daily Echo.

Southampton have tended to lose some of their best players during summer transfer windows in recent seasons and there is widespread speculation that star left-back Ryan Bertrand could be leaving the St. Mary' Stadium, with Chelsea interested in signing the England international.

If indeed Bertrand leaves, it has been claimed that the Saints are currently looking at the 23-year old Haps as a replacement.

The young defender has made 30 appearances for AZ in the Eredivisie this season.
