Veteran Southampton shot stopper Willy Caballero described the moment Argentina lifted the World Cup as an incredible achievement.
The 41-year-old, who did represent his country at a World Cup in 2018, watched on as the 2022 squad lifted the giant trophy and fulfilled the lifelong dream of star Lionel Messi.
Caballero, who only has fond memories of playing with Leo Messi and his other Argentine teammates, told the following to Southampton's social media: “It was an amazing achievement for the country. The players were amazing.
“The whole tournament was a very good lesson for the whole country. I am proud of them and I feel amazing.
“The whole country feels really well, so I hope they still enjoy it."
