Southampton could recall loanees Boufal & Carrillo

Southampton are not prepared to sell Sofiane Boufal and Guido Carrillo without new manager Ralph Hasenhuttl assessing the players.

It was expected that both would be moved on after they returned from loans this summer.

But it appears that Carrillo and Boufal could get another chance to resurrect their Saints careers.

Speaking at the club's fans' forum, Southampton chairman Ralph Krueger said: "The dream scenario is that you'd always like to sell the players that you don't want and that you'd like to get the players you want.

"As we know in the market, it's potentially not possible to get in the right players in January who might be available in the summer.

"We've also loaned Carrillo and Boufal and Ralph's going to take a look at them.

"There's no 100 percent guarantee that they would be sold in the summer or not.

"They will come back, and we will re-evaluate them."
