Southampton confident of finding quick manager appointment

Southampton are confident they will soon have a full time manager in place as the club looks to avoid relegation.

The Saints parted ways with Mauricio Pellegrino after he steered them to the brink of relegation following a horrendous run of results since the New Year.

Now they are hoping someone like Mark Hughes or Marco Silva would be able to take over and give the club the direction it needs in the final weeks of the season.

The Daily Echo claims that a decision will be made soon, and Mark Hughes is the frontrunner to get the job.

Hughes played for Southampton 60 times from 1998-2000, and he has great experience in the Premier League with Blackburn, Manchester City and Stoke.
