Southampton are closing on Swedish youngster Rafael York.

The Sunday Mirror says he made his debut with Sandviken as a 15-year-old and his talent has alerted several clubs in Italy and Germany as well as Southampton.

He has also played for Sweden's Under-15 team and is in the current Under-17 squad.

York recently signed a new three-year contract with Sandviken – but there is an escape clause that could see him cost as little as £78,000.
