Southampton are chasing Spartak Moscow winger Quincy Promes.

Sky Sports says Promes, 26, is keen to try his luck in the Premier League, however the Russian side want £30million.

Any potential deal will smash the current Saints club record purchase of Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina for £18m last summer.

The highly-rated Dutch winger has scored 53 goals in 101 Russian Premier League appearances for Spartak after joining them from FC Twente in August 2014 for a reported £12m.

Promes is under contract in Moscow until June 2021 and played a key role in Spartak's league title win last season.
