Southampton boss Ronald Koeman has warned bigger clubs off Nathaniel Clyne.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is ready to raid the Saints for the fourth time in less than a year after earmarking right-back Clyne as Glen Johnson's Anfield successor.
But Koeman insists: "Clyne is a fantastic player and he showed that from the beginning of the season. I am not surprised with the way he played for the national team.
"If there is any interest in a Southampton player, we know that and we will try and keep them because they are fantastic players.
"After this season, Clyne will have one season left on his contract. It is normal you don't wait until next season. You do something now to keep that player.
"We like to keep everybody. It is my understanding that conversation will happen soon."
