Southampton boss Hughes hoping for Hazard off-day

Southampton boss Mark Hughes has been discussing whether Eden Hazard is the best player in the world and his team prepare to meet Chelsea at the weekend.

"Debates of that type of probably better made when he's a bit older and he's got grey hair like me and everybody can discuss the merits once everybody's finished, but he's an outstanding player. You look at his stats this year and he's had an impact in almost every game he's played in.

"The key is, if you can, to stop their (Chelsea) key players having opportunities. It's very difficult in the Premier League to stop an opposition team from having absolutely no chances in a game.

"It's very, very rare in the Premier League, so we've just got to hope that the chances they do create fall to someone other than Hazard and hopefully they have an off day."
