Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl was happy to give Thierry Small his debut in their FA Cup win against Coventry City.

Small was a summer signing from Everton.

“That's the good thing with having five subs, you can try a few players in the beginning," said Hasenuttl.

"Thierry had his first game today, it was tough for him I think.

“I think he was a little bit nervous today. It was a big crowd here at home, 30,000 it's not so easy. But I want to give him a chance and see how far he is in his development. He still has a lot of things to learn but it's good."
