Liverpool legend Graeme Souness has urged his old club not to do an Arsenal today.
Souness wrote in his column for the Daily Star Sunday: "Liverpool have the chance to ensure they don't follow in the footsteps of Arsenal this afternoon.
"Last year at this time, Arsenal missed their opportunity when they lost to Birmingham, who went on to be relegated and are now in the Championship.
"That result serves as a warning to Liverpool, who face Championship side Cardiff as favourites, just as Arsenal were against Birmingham.""In the last two seasons, both clubs have had the chance to end their long wait for a trophy through reaching the Carling Cup Final.
