Trabzonspor have been forced to shelve plans to buy Rangers striker Kris Boyd. The Boyd deal collapsed last night - after they failed to get rid of ex-Liverpool star Rigobert Song.
Trabzonspor sporting director Unal Karaman said: "Yes, it is true that we tried to buy Kris.
"But because of the high compensation we would've had to pay to terminate another player's contract, we could not do anything at the moment.
"We have had to step back from the deal for now. It is a great pity."
